IdeaStar’s Mike Wise, Jim Fisher, and Laurel Baldwin attended the Professional Insurance Marketing Association’s 2008 MarkeTTech Symposium, November 9 through 11 in Baltimore.  The theme for this year was Is Push Marketing Dying? Consumer Directed Channels.

Mike, one of the meeting chairs, helped arrange for a presentation by Kristin Brewe of Erin Esurance fame. Listen in on a podcast Mike did with Kristin on buzz marketing. You might hear the future of insurance marketing.

Left Out in the Rain: Susanne Retains Her Parking Space

Her space is safe!  IdeaStar General Manager Susanne Svette offered her covered parking space as the prize for the Second Annual IdeaStar Chili Contest.  It was a close race, but Susanne’s secret recipe chili (made by her husband Mark) came out with the most votes.  It was really good….

Jane and Christy were careful to try each recipe.

Brian, Greg and Josh were happy to try everything.

And dessert was the best.

We’re hoping Susanne will share the recipe with us, but for now, she isn’t budging.
