St. Patrick’s Day at IdeaStar is a good excuse to eat corned beef. We had our usual lunch, complete with a Spring coloring contest.

Mary colored some bunnies. They will be yellow, green, pink, and blue.

Doug and Phil Hall displayed their shamrocks.

Christy and Ryan too.

And Mike carved the corned beef. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. For those of you who want to know a little more about the holiday, click here.

Smile Mike! IdeaStar’s Mike Wise (right) was presented the President’s Distinguished Service Award by outgoing President Paul Latchford (left) during the recent Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) 2009 Annual Meeting. “It’s encouraging that my involvement during the past four years within PIMA has been positively received,” Mike said. “And, I find it humbling at the same time, especially since my daughter, Kelle, was in attendance. I’m really just an average Joe trying to do a good job.”
Mike was also appointed to a three-year term on the PIMA Board of Directors. “I’m excited to serve the association in this way. I will of course keep an eye on things from the Web technology perspective,” Mike said. He was appointed to lead the Communications and Technology Committee – a group focused on the use of technology to enhance the external and internal communications of PIMA.
Mike is a three-time tri-chair of PIMA MarkeTTech and frequently volunteers his skills as a photographer at PIMA events. As a matter of fact, at the last meeting, one PIMA member spouse quipped, “So Mike, I see you’re taking pictures? Must be like being on a safari.” How so? “You’re taking pictures of insurance people in their native habitat.” Hmmmmmm.

It’s Fat Tuesday at IdeaStar today. And although there really isn’t much carrying on, we did pause for some pizza.

Ryan Pastorelle looked dashing in this mask. But it was soon removed. All the better to eat pizza.

We lined Mark Greenwald, Doug Parsons, and Dale Cassidy up for a picture. It was fun, but now it’s time to get back to work. Crack!

And the winner of the 2008 IdeaStar Inc. Employee of the Year Award is ….
Greg Kopp! Greg distinguished himself by taking the lead on some significant and complicated projects with tight deadlines. The company presented Greg with a plaque. Thanks Greg. You’re awesome.
Earning clocks for five years of dedicated service to IdeaStar are Mike Wise and Dale Cassidy. Thanks guys.
Now if somebody could tell me what type of battery those clocks use, I would appreciate it.

IdeaStar’s Mike Wise, Jim Fisher and Jamey Polak attended the 2009 Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG) Annual Meeting in Orlando, while the rest of IdeaStar was snowed-in here in Cleveland. The premier strategic alliances meeting for the insurance & financial services industry offered a great opportunity to get the word out about IdeaStar’s Web development services. You can’t beat a Web dev company with major experience Web enabling insurance functions for clients, agents, and carriers.
Mike, Jim, and Jamey kept insisting how hard they were working. You know, meeting with clients, networking, drumming up new business…. But the picture below of Mike makes us wonder.

Read Mike’s post at his blog, InsuraTech, for insights into the conference.
